SHIPPING & DELIVERY PROTOCOL

UNIT411 operates a specialized logistics network focused on the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Due to the nature of our inventory (fully assembled, large-format furniture), we do not use standard couriers like FedEx or UPS for furniture.

Please review our delivery tiers below.

1. SERVICE AREA & RATES

We service a 60km radius around our Gatineau (Hull sector) warehouse.

ZONE 1: LOCAL (0-20km)

  • Rate: FREE

  • Areas: Hull, Gatineau (Sector), Aylmer, Downtown Ottawa, Vanier, Westboro, Glebe.

  • Conditions: Standard curbside delivery included.

ZONE 2: EXTENDED (20-60km)

  • Rate: $20.00 Flat Rate

  • Areas: Kanata, Barrhaven, Orléans, Buckingham, Wakefield, Stittsville, Manotick.

  • Conditions: Standard curbside delivery included.

BEYOND 60KM: Please contact us at atelierducan@gmail.com before placing an order. Custom quotes may be available depending on the item and route.

2. DELIVERY TIERS

STANDARD DELIVERY (Curbside)

  • Included in the rates above.

  • Service: Our team delivers the item to your driveway or the main entrance of your building.

  • Assembly: Item arrives fully assembled (unless stated otherwise). You are responsible for bringing it inside.

WHITE GLOVE (Optional Upgrade)

  • Cost: Additional fee (Select at checkout if available).

  • Service: Two-person team brings the item into your room of choice and removes protective packaging.

  • Restrictions: We cannot remove doors or hoist furniture through balconies. Please measure your hallways and doors beforehand.

WAREHOUSE PICKUP (Free)

  • Cost: $0.00

  • Location: 15 rue Bériault, Gatineau, QC.

  • Timing: By appointment only. You will receive an email to schedule your slot once your order is processed.

  • Vehicle: Please ensure you have a vehicle large enough. We can help you load, but you are responsible for securing the load (bring straps/blankets).

3. PROCESSING TIME (The "Just-in-Time" Protocol)

In-Stock Items (Grade B/C):

  • Dispatched or ready for pickup within 24-48 hours.

JIT Items (Grade A):

  • Sourcing Cycle: Orders are secured by Monday 23:59.

  • Processing: Items are retrieved, inspected, and assembled on Tuesday/Wednesday.

  • Delivery/Pickup: Ready starting Thursday/Friday.

  • Note: You will receive a notification as soon as the item passes inspection.

4. DELIVERY SCHEDULING

Once your order is ready, our dispatch team will contact you (via text or email) to confirm a 4-hour delivery window.

  • You must be present (or have an authorized adult present) to accept the delivery.

  • If you miss your confirmed appointment, a re-delivery fee may apply.

5. DAMAGE DURING TRANSIT

We inspect every item before loading. However, transit shifts can happen.

  • Inspect on Arrival: Please check the item while the driver is there (or immediately upon pickup).

  • Report: If you see damage, note it on the delivery slip (if applicable) or take photos immediately and email atelierducan@gmail.com within 24 hours.

6. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We do not currently ship outside of the Ottawa-Gatineau region. International orders will be automatically cancelled and refunded.
